Holland State Park is a popular recreational area located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan near the city of Holland, Michigan. Covering over 175 acres, the park offers expansive sandy beaches, forested areas, and scenic views of Lake Michigan’s turquoise waters. The park's defining features include the Big Red Lighthouse and the Holland Channel Lighthouse, which guard the entrance to Lake Michigan from Lake Macatawa. These historical lighthouses provide popular photo opportunities and a glimpse into the region's maritime history. The park is well-loved for its swimming, sunbathing, and fishing along its two miles of beach frontage, as well as boating and paddle sports facilitated by the adjacent channel. Inland, visitors can hike through dunes and wooded areas, with trails connecting to the nearby Hoekwater Trail and other local nature paths.
